LETS START WITH SOME FUN.

It all comes from being handy. As we go through life, we can learn our strengths and weaknesses. It has been difficult to figure out where strength can take us. In my path it has been a long Journey. I grew up in a middle-class family. My father worked many hours to be able to provide a life he thought we wanted. It afforded him to be able to retire much earlier than most. This of course sounds great to many the main downfall is the sacrifice of the time with his loved ones. it wasn’t till we were older and had moved out of the house did he realize the lost time. We all think there is time to do things later. I the words of a famous song by harry chapin “cats in the cradle” the adults are too busy when the kids are young to be with them then as we slow down to make time for them, they have moved on to their own lives.

I had a child with a woman who wasn’t the perfect match for me. In the end we weren’t together long after his birth. I did have visitation every weekend and some holidays. I did spend that time soley with him. There were some times i was helping out family and friends that he would stay with my parents or come with me to help. For the most part it was just me and him together. Then his mother fell Ill, and I was awarded sole custody. This is where it came to be i turned into my father a few years later. Working crazy hours to be able to give him all the things I thought he wanted. Losing my experience as i had with my father and my time was more valuable to him than any monetary item could ever be.

I now know that with my son getting maturer it is time he is starting his own path in life. Having a job and his own transportation he is doing what he enjoys. This is great he is figuring out his interests and doing what he needs to in order to find out who he is.

This is what is giving me the time to start this process in my life. I am by no means an expert in any field i choose to work in. Again, learning new things and trying not to be afraid of things I don’t know yet. This is where the jack of all trades master of none comes in to play in my life.
